We are used to the lack of electricity, to the sounds of generators, we already fall asleep during sirens, and every time we hug children tighter in shelters or in underground parking lots. We count shellings in Kyiv or Dnipro at the end of the day and ask "How are you?" every morning in messengers. We deliver food and powerbanks on boats, we use drones to bring water to people standing on the roofs of their flooded houses, we carry animals out of the water and collect the necessary components in all the corners of the world to bring our Victory closer. We are Ukrainians. For us, the greatest value is life and freedom. We know how to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine even for the opportunity to drink our morning coffee. We know how to love and feel every moment because we know its value. Those ambulances (already 123!) that we delivered to the frontline evacuated and saved approximately 5,400 lives* in a year. Even if it had been the life of one person, we wouldn’t have hesitated. Requests from doctors and the Armed Forces arrive every day. We’ve heard them and started a new fundraising. SoftServe has donated $1,200,000 for its 30th anniversary. We’ll buy 100 more ambulances. We’ve set a goal of fundraising another $ 600 000 for the equipment that will allow hearts to beat again, lungs to breathe again, and the wounded defenders to have a chance for recovery and life. Because every life is important. Because every person is precious!
What we plan
Here are the costs of the needed medical equipment we plan to purchase and install in the ambulances.
*There is a list of high-priority medical equipment and its cost for ambulances. We equip each ambulance with an individual set upon request which may include: laryngoscopes, patient monitors, additional stretchers, oxygen concentrators and other resuscitation equipment.
